DC Universe New Weekly Releases October 6, 2020

DC Comics started to release new comics to their DC Universe platform about a year after they enter circulation as floppies. With that in mind, I decided to list off those released each week as I do for Marvel Unlimited. The DC releases come out on Tuesday. Coming soon, DC will be releasing comics 6 months after they’re on the shelves which will give me a lot of catching up to do.

Here’s what I think will be available for this week that was released October, 2019:

Top Comics This Week

12 new comics released today compared to 13 last week.  Looking at Comic Book Roundup which aggregates a bunch of review sites, here are the top issues from this batch of comics.

  • DCeased #5
by Tom Taylor, Trevor Hairsine, and Stefano Guadiano.
    Published by DC Comics, 2019.
The world is dying at the hands of the infected, and the very survival of humanity is at stake. Facing extinction, Superman and the heroes will make a decision that will fundamentally alter Earth’s present…and future!
  • Green Lantern #12
by Grant Morrison and Liam Sharp.
    Published by DC Comics, 2019.
The Green Lanterns will fall! Insidious plans meticulously set in motion since issue #1 have reached their boiling point. As defeat looms for the Corps, Hal Jordan’s showdown with his monstrous antimatter counterpart sets the stage for the final pages of this issue-and the moment that will echo throughout the entire DC Universe! How bad is it for Hal and the Corps? There’s no GREEN LANTERN #13 next month…but writer Grant Morrison is crafting the next chapter of this story, and it’s coming soon! Only there’s no “Green Lantern” in the title. After the events of this issue, how could there be?
  • Justice League #33
by Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, and Bruno Redondo.
    Published by DC Comics, 2019.
“The Justice Doom War” part four! Apex Lex Luthor is in ascendance, and he’s taking out the remaining members of the Justice League in the present just as his Legion of Doom is beating down the time-traveling heroes in both the past and the future. Batman, Superman and the rest of our heroes may have just figured out how Kamandi’s timeline works when terrible Hypertime quakes rattle their existence, threatening to strand them far from their own time. Meanwhile, the Flash, Green Lantern and the Justice Society take another leap through time, heading for…ancient Atlantis?
