Picking the Queens of the Sea & Sky

Today I’m taking the time to list off my picks for the Queens of the Sea & Sky bracket of the 2022 March Mammal Madness, and I think the final two competitors of this division could either move on to the Final Roar.

The Orca is a strong competitor and is the apex predator in the oceans. I’ve watched numerous documentaries, videos, and shows about how these guys even take on and kill Great White Sharks…just to eat their liver. I worry about how they will get through a difficult top bracket. While I don’t see them having trouble with the Prawn or my pick – the Hagfish – but I worry the battle with the Octopus is gonna be difficult. I’ve seen too many images of Octopi fighting whales and winning to think the Orca will have an easy time of it.

From the bottom of the bracket, the Sea Eagle is my pick. I think she’s got an easy battle against the Dobsonfly, and I don’t see a Penguin or Parrot posing much of a challenge. I think the battle between the Eagle and the Monk Seal may be epic but could turn on the environment and other ecosystem factors, but I think the Eagle will have the upper hand.

In the final battle of the bracket, I think the Orca will withstand the Eagle’s onslaught and, by sheer weight and strength, move on to the Final Roar.

In my view, the Orca will be a strong competitor representing the Queens of the Sea & Sky bracket but could suffer from battlefield location effects in the late stages of the tournament.
