Dystopian Future Horror

I’m really starting to think that my tastes are changing. At least my tastes in comics since I seem to be gravitating more towards horror comics these days. I mean sure I read plenty of superhero comics from the boing two, but many of the new titles I find myself picking up these days tend to be from Image or BOOM! Studios and tend to learn to the horror genre.

That’s not too bad when the stories are good like I’ve found with Deep Beyond #1 by Mika Andolfo, David Goy, and Andrea Broccardo. This comic gets started quickly and interestingly with a mystery set in a dystopian future populated by toxic cities and sea monsters.

I’m not sure what happened…I’m not sure how things are gonna be resolved… but there are boil causing plagues, tentacled monsters, terrorists throwing parties, and infighting among the surviving human enclaves that really pique my interest.

I think I’m gonna like this one.
