Trying A Little HIIT

I definitely needed that day of rest. I felt much better today and ready to start the second week of my exercise program. I am really getting back into this and enjoying the fact that I am making an effort to get into shape.

Today I did a little HIIT – high intensity interval training. By little, I mean LITTLE – I did not want to go hard since I am just starting out. I went with 3 exercises for 20 seconds each with a 20 second break in the middle – some jumping jacks, some plank rotations, and some squats. I continued my core exercises of push-ups and planks as well, and I ran for 15 minutes.

Week 2, Day 1:

  • 22/21 Jumping Jacks
  • 5/5 Plank Rotations
  • 12/12 Squats
  • 2×14 push-ups
  • 2×15 seconds plank
  • Running – 15:13 minutes = 1.26 miles

I hope the squats don't cause the trouble they did last time.
