Chronicles of Vagari in Azeroth – Chapter 5

I stepped through the gate and found Vagari waiting for me in Mulgore to continue her journey. The first adventure outside Camp Narache started when landing in Bloodhoof Village. Here she meets Ahmo Thunderhorn who tells her about the Palemane Gnolls and asks that she diminish their number. Christened as a new level 5 Druid, Vagari quickly sets out on her task, but not before speaking to a few others in the village.

After picking up quests from the various people in town, I had her head to the profession trainer to learn a few things. I wanted to make sure she had some income so I trained her in Mining and Herbalism. These two gathering professions should give her something to sell on the auction house or to give to my other characters as raw materials for potions and jewelry. These are also good professions for Druids since later on, they can fly in and pick up the items pretty easily once they get flight form.
Heading out from the village, Vagari spots a swoop which Harken asked her to collect. These guys are not tough to corral, but they do knock you down when they get close. Wrath and Moonfire take them out quickly though and prove Vagari’s prowess as a hunter – Harken will be proud.
I also wanted to try our hand at pet battles. My other characters have gathered a few pets in the past so Vagari was able to use a Perky Pug that was in our stable. Being level 6 helped the pug wipe out a low level fawn, and Vagari was able to catch it easily. Other battles were over in one round as the pug scored too much damage.

With the pet battles over, we set out to collect the wolf paws and plainstrider talons to complete the cure for the poised water wells. The wolves looked fierce, but they were no match for us.

Finally, we arrived at Palemane Rock where Ahmo told us the Gnolls were camped out. They had tanners and skinners, but no true warriors that could challenge Vagari who mowed through them and even reached level 6 while finishing the task that was set out for her.

Having reached a new level, Vagari wanted to stop to examine the new skills she could now use. The ability to transform into a cat was pretty cool and she wanted to practice before continuing her adventures. Next time we’ll see what she has learned.

Today I saw a tweet from Fr. Roderick about JJ Abrams and the new Star Wars… See if you spot anything interesting in this YouTube of the Millennium Falcon.

Yup that is the Batmobile hitching a ride on the Falcon.
