#SWL is Not as Scary in the Morning

Wow! I’m excited that I’ve made it the furthest I’ve ever gone in Secret World Legends…and in The Secret World even. I surpassed my most recent character – Ocarina the other day by making it to level 24 and I just kept going. I’m now 9 quests away from finishing off the Savage Coast and moving on to the Blue Mountains.

The Savage Coast is Almost Done

I was actually surprised when I was notified that I’d completed the Decoding Savage Coast achievement but that put me 1/3rd the way through the achievements for the area…or so I thought. In reality there were only 3 missions the were included in that achievement.

The Redeemer of Savage Coast has 19 missions and Savage Coast’s Talk of the Town has 24 missions. So of a total of 46 missions are in the area, competing all the investigation missions for Decoding doesn’t mean I’ve finished 1/3rd. Oh well.

More to the point, after completing Decoding, I went on to finish a bunch more and now only have 9 missions left in the zone.

I’ve been feeling a bit better about working on these missions since I’ve been questing in the mornings. The first time I made it to Savage Coast I really got scared with the creepy music and the creatures stalking around. Many times I got startled as I’d be running away from some zombies only to turn around into something even worse.

The second time I came into the area with Ocarina, I wasn’t as scared since I knew what to expect but it was still creepy as I was running through the missions in the evenings. The ambiance still managed to scare me even though I knew what to expect.

Finally, with Mellari, I’ve been running the missions in the morning before I head into work. I think between being my 3rd time running the missions, it being light outside, and the fact that I’m trying to finish off the daily challenge each day, I’m not as scared this time around. We’ll see how things go when I encounter novel content in the Blue Mountains.
