My Pull List for Week 1 of 2019

I’m hoping with the holidays behind me I can get back and catch up with these comics on my pull list. It’s typical that my “to read” list grows and throws, just like my “to play” list of games does but sometime I’ve gotta make a dent in these lists. Maybe this will be the week to start. I am reading 200 pages of Sabrina this week but I think I can make some progress on these pulled comics and maybe even catch up on a few that I’ve already got on my list.

From Marvel Unlimited New Releases:

  • Deadpool: Assassin #2 by Cullen Bunn and Mark Bagley. Published by Marvel Comics, 2018 – This issue showed up this week and I’m wondering how I missed the first issue so I’m also reading that one.
  • Venom #3 by Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman. Published by Marvel Comics, 2018 – I loved the first issue and had the second on my pull list a few weeks ago but I didn’t get to read it…this time around I’m gonna try to get through both #2 and #3.
  • Moon Knight #196 by Max Bemis and Ty Templeton. Published by Marvel Comics, 2018 – 196 came out this week but since I have a) never read Moon Knight before and b) would like to start at the beginning of a story arc, I’m gonna go back to 194 to try reading this.
  • Ms. Marvel #31 by G. Willow Wilson, Nico Leon, Elmo Bondoc, and Gustavo Duarte. Published by Marvel Comics, 2018 – I’ve enjoyed this title so far but I know Wilson’s days on it a numbered and I hope whoever takes over does as good a job with this fun character.
  • Black Panther #2 by Ta-Nehisi Coates and Daniel Acura. Published by Marvel Comics, 2018.
  • Infinity Countdown: Darkhawk #3 Published by Marvel Comics, 2018 – I still haven’t done any research on this character to see how long he’s been around but I’ve been enjoying the ride with him.

From Comixology:

  • Coda #1 by Simon Spurrier and Matias Bergara. Published by Boom! Studios, 2018 – I bought the first issue of this comic a while ago and now I’m hearing good things again so I figure it’s time to give it a read.
  • Revenge of Wonderland #1 by Raven Gregory and Allan Otero. Published by Zenescope Entertainment – I just liked the title and the concepts it brings to my imagination. I hope the real story is as good as I am imagining it.
  • Giant Days #1 by John Allison and Lisa Treiman. Published by Boom! Studios – This one is 46 issue into print and I;be heard some good things about it so I figured it’s time to give at least the first arc a read.
  • Crowded #1 by Christopher Sebela and Ro Stein. Published by Image comics, 2018 – the first story arc concluded this wee with issue #6 and when I took a look at he idea. I was hooked. Phone apps for bodyguards and assassinations…wow!
  • Hex Wives #1 by Ben Blacker and Mira Andolfo. Published by Vertigo, 2018 – witchcraft, reincarnation, and conspiracy theories – what more could you ask for?
  • Project: Superpowers #1 by Rob Williams and Sergio Davila. Published by Dynamite Entertainment, 2018 – I enjoyed the first issue and wanted to keep going. They’re up to 5 issues now so I better catch up.

From Marvel Unlimited 1963:

I’m really falling behind in these 1963 comics but I’m dedicated to continue with them. On top of these issues I’m also gonna start reading/re-reading for My Marvelous Year which starts this month. Comic Book Herald is kicking things off with 1961 and 62 so they’ll be at 1963 pretty quick so I’ll have plenty of these Silver Age comics to read as the months move forward. These issues though are repeat from last week since I wasn’t able to get to any of them last week due to the holidays.

  • Strange Tales #113 by Stan Lee, Joe Carter, and Dick Ayers.  published by Marvel Comics, 1963.
  • Fantaststic Four #19 by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Dick Ayers, and Stan Goldberg.  Published by Marvel Comics, 1963.
  • Journey into Mystery #97 by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and George Roussos.  Published by Marvel Comics, 1963.
  • Tales of Suspense #46 by Stan Lee, Robert Bernstein, Jack Kirby, and Don Heck.  Published by Marvel Comics, 1963.
  • Tales to Astonish #48 by Stan Lee, H. E. Huntley, and Don Heck.  Published by Marvel Comics, 1963.
