Two Looks Back, One Look Forward

Oops, Here’s Another One for February

Of course, no sooner did I publish my post yesterday about the games I wanted to play in February but then I learned that the Gaming Bookclub (which is what I think they’re calling themselves this month) has decided to also jump back into EverQuest 2. My experience with EQ2 pretty much boils down to a single character that I leveled up to 15 on one of the various progression servers. But my time was fairly enjoyable so I think I’ll see about spending some time with them on this new endeavor. It was last September when I dipped my toe into EQ2 and I was really enjoying the Channeler so I think I’m going to go ahead and move forward with another Channeler and see how that plays out with the group. So many games and not enough time.

Kicking off Starman with issue 0

Starman #0 – Sins of the Father Part One: Falling Star, Rising Star by James Robinson, Tony Harris, and Wade Von Grawbadger. Published by DC Comics, 1994. This first issue is a great kickoff to week 20 of the DC Universe Book Club. I really enjoyed the story – it creates a good mystery, introduces a reluctant hero, and features a richly drawn city as a backdrop. I’m definitely hooked here so I’ll give this a Must Read since I have a feeling this is heading for a fun ride.

Gearing Up for the Baseball Season

Last season I enjoyed putting together thoughts about the various games and teams in the West Coast divisions. I really think they tend to get less coverage in the media because everybody is so focused on Boston and New York. OK well Boston did go ahead and win the World Series last year but I still don’t think they were the best team in baseball. This season I am trying to figure out if I want to migrate some of that blogging off of this, my gaming and nerdy, blog and pushing it more towards a sporting type platform. I haven’t made any firm decisions yet but with Spring Training right around the corner I’m starting to get excited for the 2019 season.
