Here Comes March Mammal Madness 2019

The month is March, the year is 2019, and that means The 2019 March Mammal Madness tournament is finally upon us. The good folks over at Mammals Suck…Milk! have once again thrown down the gauntlet and many among the huge variety of mammals have taken up the challenge. From the Bengal Tiger to the tag team of Ants and Aphids…wait a minute, those aren’t mammals…

Yup, just like last year non-hairy, non-milk-drinking animals have a shot at taking the crown and not only are solo animals allowed but for the first time since the Tardigrade snuck through to the finals by swapping his partner over and over again, tag teams are allowed.

A whole bracket is full of them…from the already mentioned Ants & Aphids to the ornery Zebra & Oxpecker, from the Fire Coral & Algae to the Wattled Jacana & Capybara. These teams are joining together to see if their combined powers can withstand the survival of the fittest contest.

Things are just getting started as the brackets dropped on March 1st and I’m taking a closer look at each of the brackets before I step up to the plate and submit my bracket selections, but anyone can get into the act by going to Mammals Suck…Milk! and looking for the 2019MMM bracket. Just like previous years the battles are reported on Twitter but there’s plenty of followers on Facebook as well.

Once again, I’m excited about the event and at least with my first look, I’m kinda preferential to the Capybara but then they’re so mellow I’m not sure they’ll go too far since they get along with everyone.
