Ramble #8: A Short Ramble after a 12 hour day
This week, I’m stepping away from my usual weekly Marvel picking strategy and focusing on an event that’s been pretty enjoyable so far. Rather than loading up my pick list with the top rated comics this week which both focus on Star Wars, I’m gonna target the War of the Realms issues. I know I’ll get to the Star Wars issues eventually but I am gonna hold off on them until their collected editions are ready. Instead, I’m gonna add 3 issues from the War of the Realms since everything I’ve read from that event has been fun and I’m really impressed with the comprehensive nature of things. They really went out of their way to include tons of characters and I’m loving some of the big scene pages. If fact, I’m enjoying the event so much, I’m, actually working up a larger reading list by examining some of the comics that lead up to the battles with Malekith.
So here are my additions to my backlog from Marvel Unlimited this week…
- War of the Realms: Uncanny X-Men #1
- Avengers #18
- Venom #13
And with that, a 12 hour work day, and a World Series game 6 to watch, I think I’m gonna call it a day and cut my ramble a bit short today.
