A Bit of Chaos

The Angels ended up losing yesterday and having their win streak snapped but today’s game is going better. The team is currently leading Boston 3–2 in the 6th as I write this and I’m hopeful Ohtani will hold it together a bit more to get my team back in the win column.

Along with watching my team, I’ve been trying to make sure I get at least one gaming session in every day. While I’d like more, I’m still getting used to the return to the office and things are in a bit of chaos.

Things Were Done

So the Angels ended up losing their first game with Boston. They didn’t go down without a fight though. Ohtani came up in the 9th inning with 2 on and the Angels down by 1 but was unable to pull out the victory. He’s been on fire lately but even so he’s not able to win every game for the team…sometimes they have to get some pitching help.

This end to Monday’s game was a disappointment but even with that and a full day of work I feel like I had a good day. I was able to pick up where I left off on Monday in Aion Classic and I’m enjoying it so far. It is a bit strange going back into a game where I have to purchase spell books but what I find different and more enjoyable than the World of Warcraft Classic server is the fact that I don’t have to run all over the place to get quests and turn them in. Aion places the beginning quests close together so it’s not a running simulation like WoW Classic seems to be. That’s one of the reasons I didn’t get too far in WoW Classic – I do plan on giving Burning Crusade another try though.

Along with Burning Crusade Classic and Aion Classic, I’m thinking of giving the new Lord of the Rings Online Legendary servers a try and it has me wondering at the fact that all these classic servers are just rehashing content from the past but people seem to keep going back. Obviously these games were successful back in the day but they’re also drawing people into them decades later so there is still a desire for good MMO content. Why aren’t current developers able to write compelling content to drive interest? I still have hope for new games but today I was more than happy jumping into Aion Classic and having some fun.
