Last Day of February

Today kicks off the last day of February, and I am surprised to see how fast 2022 is going. I suppose things are still kinda crazy with Covid, returning to the office, getting ready for March Madness, and the craziness with Ukraine. So many things going on that February seems like the longest month rather than the shortest. I didn’t even attend to the Winter Olympics like I usually would have.

The Rundown

  • Winter Olympics
  • Running at the Bay
  • Marvel Unlimited
  • Starting MGM Bracket Placements

The Goods

  • Winter Olympics
I find it hard to believe that an event that I am usually so interested in came and went so quickly during February. I think the only story I heard about was the American from San Francisco who competed for China and the Russians cheating again. When will the world realize that Russians are gonna cheat no matter if they have to compete under the Olympic flag or not? They just don’t seem to have respect for the rest of the world. Anyway, I know America was pretty far away from winning the medal race. Still, I suppose it really doesn’t matter…between Russia and the genocidal China government; the whole thing was a farce.
  • Marvel Unlimited
Today is Marvel Unlimited new release day, and I’m looking forward to a few issues. Kate Bishop is getting a series, and #1 comes out today. There’s also a Life Day comic from the Star Wars Universe. Finally, the new Black Panther title looks like it could be pretty good. Later, once I take a look at the various issues that have been added today, I’ll put together my listing and recommendations.
  • Starting MGM Bracket Placements
I’m looking forward to getting some of my games assigned to their brackets for my March Gaming Madness today. I’ve got my Random Number Generator to set up the match-ups and my list of 72 games to assign. I’ll see how many contests I can set up today, but I figure it will take a few days to go through all 32 of the contests across the 4 divisions.
  • Running at the Bay
Yesterday I had a good run, and what made it even better was the fact that I was able to go down to the Bay to run. It’s been close to 2 years (of Covid) since I ran down at the Bay, and it was nice to see the water, the ducks, the dogs, and the sunshine. It wasn’t particularly warm, so there weren’t a ton of people out, but there were some, and a few were running as well.

It’s a Wrap

February is coming to a close, but it’s certainly been a busy month. Olympics and Covid have given way to March Madness and sunshine, and I am happy to have February in the rearview mirror. 2022 is going quickly, but I’m hopeful that things slow down a bit so I can savor the madness of March and the excitement that Spring will bring.

I hope you all had a good February as well.
