A Final Roundup

Ok, so I decided that I would give one more look around my various platforms for games I wanted to throw into my selection pool.

I know I was supposed to be starting my matchup selections today, but I couldn’t keep myself from procrastinating.

Anyway, I found 8 more games from the various services that I have, consoles that I own, and all that good stuff. I’m still very pissed off that my friends have PS5s, but I still have been unlucky enough to not be able to pick one up yet, but that is another story.

One game that I am purposely leaving out of the pool is the latest MS Flight Simulator. I’m just not sure how I could define an endgame for that, but perhaps next time around, I’ll include it and see what I can come up with.

Anyway, I decided I was going to go ahead and add in Elden Ring since it’s got so much press these days. I might as well see if it makes the tournament and how far it gets.

I’m also gonna add a couple of games I’ve heard good things about from the AggroChat podcast…Subnautica and Control. Both were spoken well of, so I figured they would be good additions to the pool.

Going back through some of my other gaming services, I also found Darksiders II, The Medium, Sunless Sea, and Ghost of Tsushima. I’m not sure about any of these at this point since I haven’t taken a look at them since they launched a while ago…so many years ago, but I figured to give them a shot at making the tournament.

Finally, I decided to round things out by adding an 80 game…Minecraft. Everyone has seemingly played the game, but I’m only dabbled in it. I’m not really sure it has much of an endgame, but I have seen some really cool automated cities and such, so I could feasibly work towards something like that if it wins the tournament.

Anyway, I now have 80 games in my selection pool. At least 15 will fail to even make the tournament, and I’m excited to see which games start making the cut.

I’m pretty sure I’m done with additions, so tomorrow, I’m gonna kick off my selections.
