Letting The Day Get Away

I had a grand plan for posting about the DC Universe Infinite releases that I’ve missed over the past couple of weeks, but I let time get away from me. Oh well, I’m just gonna run it down today.

The Rundown

  • The Angels Continue to Sputter

Not much to see here, but my Angels lost their 6th game in a row. They are still playing above .500 and are 2 games up on Texas in the AL West and the Wild Card, so they haven’t fallen too far yet, but they have to start turning things around soon, or they will have a serious problem for the rest of the season.

  • The Dragon Knows

Thor: Son of Asgard #2 is the next issue I read in my current Marvel Chronology, and it was pretty good. There certainly were battles and the godlings, Thor, Baldur, and Sif, had to face down a dragon, but more of the fighting seemed to happen among the trio. Baldur and Sif were particularly ticked off that Thor accepted Odin’s quest without even consulting them. While the three had issues, they were able to put them aside and accomplish the first task Odin set for them.

  • Zelda takes on Diablo

Today I’m going to kick off my next set of contests in my Rambling Redshirt’s Gaming Madness tournament. The number 7 seeded Zelda is taking on the number 10 seed, Diablo 3, and I think there will be some good competition between the two. Zelda comes to the first round with a 97 target which is the highest possible target so far and very well may be the highest Metacritic score of any competitor in the tournament. Diablo 3 is no slouch, though, as they come in with an 88, so this should be a good battle.

It’s a Wrap

As I wind down my rambling today, I wanted to encourage people to try to stay healthy in these crazy times we live in. I just got word that after a 3-month hiatus, my little company of fewer than 50 people had another positive test for COVID. This thing has not gone away.

In any case, I’m looking forward to making the rest of today a good one, and I hope you all have a great day.
