A Look Back at Rambles 1–30

Daily Ramble 31: A Look Back at Rambles 1–30

A month into my Daily Rambles and I’m still feeling good about them. I’m enjoying the freedom of rambling anytime I want throughout the day even though I still tend to plan things out in the morning. And as with my Morning Rambles, I’m enjoying the freedom of doing my own thing and looking at multiple topics in one post – they are rambles after all. With that said, I decided I’d take a look at some of the tendencies of the first 30 rambles I’ve put together.

  • Albion: 21 Rambles

Albion has been clearly the number 1 subject I’ve posted on. I am really enjoying this game and the fact that I’ve played it almost every day since I started my Daily Rambles definitely puts this at the top of my list of stuff I ramble about. I think I’ve made some decent progress in game during the past 30 days and while I found my Go-To Staff last month, I’ve actually upgraded to a Great Fire Staff now. Things are soon going to be even more interesting as there’s a big patch coming out in the next week (from what I’ve heard) that will add content and mix up the damage, cooldowns, and effects of a bunch of different weapons and abilities.

  • Smite: 9 Rambles

After the 21 mentions of Albion, the 9 rambles tied to SMITE are quite small in comparison. I’ve really started to pick up my gameplay lately though since I reached level 30. Now that I’m targeting specific new gods to master I’m focused and making a beeline towards ranked play eligibility.

  • Destiny 2: 8 Rambles

Interestingly enough, I’ve probably complained about not being able to play Destiny 2 as much as I’ve actually rambled about my gameplay. I expect to see more rambles about this game since I’ve now been able to get some playing time in and I’m having fun shooting things.

  • Comics: 5 Rambles

I was surprised I only had 5 rambles on comics since I feel I’ve read more than an issue everyday. I’m gonna make more of an effort to talk about what I’m reading since the comics can be so much fun.

  • TV: 4 Rambles

  • Books: 2 Rambles
  • Podcasts: 2 Rambles
  • Movies: 2 Rambles
  • LOTRO: 1 Ramble
  • Fantasy Football

Overall

So as you can see, I ramble all over the place from games to books and comics to fantasy football. I’m enjoying the Daily Ramble and the less pressure of trying to get things out in the morning and I’m planning on continuing it. So far, here are my top 10 favorite posts from my Daily Ramble:

  1. 3 Things I’ve Learned from Group Expeditions in Albion
  2. The Book of August 2017
  3. Found My Go-To Staff
  4. Gods and Omelettes
  5. Strange Happenings
  6. A Plan and some Play
  7. Enjoying The Tick
  8. Chickens, Bad Guys, and Gwendolyn
  9. Frost Staff and Tales
  10. A Long Successful Weekend
