Completed the Savage Coast in #SWL

I was surprised and excited when I looked at the mission and achievement list to see that I’d completed every quest in the Savage Coast. 46 missions, including a dungeon were finally behind me for the first time…woohoo!

A Look Back at the Savage Coast

Taking a look at what all went on in the zone, I see some areas that really freaked me out and others that were pretty cool. And as usual, Secret World Legends does a great job of mixing up the objectives and tasks needed for the various missions.

While there were only 3 investigation missions in the zone they all had a unique flavor and required research, logic, and…well, investigation. I think these types of missions might be my favorite.

The dungeon was also cool as we had to enter through the creepy door in room 13. While I don’t think the encounter was as difficult as the Polaris dungeon it did introduce a variety of mechanics that made it challenging. I could see this one being pretty difficult on higher levels.

As far as the location goes, I enjoyed how we moved from creepy hotel to dark and forbidding forest to carnival playground. There was no lack of setting changes and I think those chosen were great. I truly got freaked out with some of the wendigos wandering around near the hotel and the forest around the League of Monster Slayers’ treehouse was down right scary.

All in all, I enjoyed my time in the Savage Coast but I’m glad to be moving on. I feel a sense of accomplishment to have finally completed the zone and feel justified at moving on.

Next up…Blue Mountain and the unknown. I’ve never made it to Blue Mountain so I’m not really sure what to expect but I suppose it will be creepy and scary and I’m really hoping that I’ll be able to finally complete the first main story mission – Dawning of an Endless Night – since I’ve been running that since the day I started Secret World Legends…actually since I started The Secret World.
