Daily Ramble 12: Too Busy for a Post

With everything going on at work today I really didn’t think I had much time for a post today but I think I managed to throw something together. Basically I just looked at what I did today and how it could transform into a post and poof…there yah go.

Omnifocus

One of the applications I use for productivity these days is called Omnifocus. It keeps track of to-dos and projects and though it only works on my Mac and iOS systems I manage to use it at work where everything is Windows based.

Well, I suppose this became a major time sink for me today as I downloaded the new Omnifocus 3 this morning and spent every break I had today trying to get things set up…just right. Projects for work, projects for this blog, projects around the house…I think I figured out I’ve got too many projects. But hopefully this new incarnation of the app will help me keep track of everything and help get more done.

A Good Read/Listen

Most of my reading these days comes in the form of listening to audio books but I still consider it reading since it’s still consuming the tales regardless of the mode.

Today I started listening to Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire and I can see why it won so many awards. From the first few chapters I’m getting a sense of something that seems like Neil Gaiman meets Harry Potter. And not only is it an easy read, it’s really good so far. I’m looking forward to finishing it and since it’s so quick and not very long, I expect I should have it done tomorrow.
