Another Crazy Busy Day #BlaugustReborn
Hmm…it seems that as soon as #BlaugustReborn started things have been crazy at work and I have been so focused on getting stuff done there and at home that I haven’t has much time to put together posts. Fortunately I get the chance to game a bit in the mornings before work and read a bit during my breaks. It been so crazy that I’ve even been unable to read to all the posts from my fellow blaugustians.
So today I made a change. I figured out that if I send the posts from the blog RSS feeds over to Instapaper I could use the text-to-speech feature to have Siri read them to me. This worked out extremely well and I was finally able to listen to the entire day of posts and even a bit of the previous day’s postings.
I think I’ve figured out how I’m gonna consume the rest of the #Blaugust media and I encourage anyone who has fallen behind in their reading of the wonderful #Blaugust posts to give this method a try.
Regardless, I didn’t have much of a chance to grab screenshots or process images for today so I found a few screenies from Secret World Legends that I was gonna use for an upcoming post and thought I’d throw them in for some color.
Hope everyone is less busy than I’ve been during #Blaugust and I certainly hope my crazy days get easier.
I’ve never thought of listening to blog posts! I’ve taken the time to read posts at work when things have been slow (which isn’t often), but this is a great tip! I enjoy podcasts, so short audio snippets should be easy to consume during the day. Thanks for the idea!
Yeah it works pretty well and with the Premium version of Instapaper you can set up a playlist. I’ve been grabbing a dozen or so posts at a time and listening to them all back-to-back. When I hear something I want to look up or otherwise attend to, I can go to the RSS feed or directly to the blog to check it out. It works really well.
