My Pull List for Week 2 of 2019

I wanted to branch out this week and start looking at Comixology Unlimited and DC Universe but I ran outta time to figure out what I wanted to read. Next week I’m gonna start earlier and try to add those categories to my list…and read them too.

From Marvel Unlimited New Releases:

These I grabbed from my Monday listing so there should be nothing surprising.

  • Spidey: School’s Out #3 by John Barber, Todd Nauck, and Rachelle Rosenberg. Published by Marvel Comics, 2018.
  • Immortal Hulk #2 by Al Ewing and Joe Bennett. Published by Marvel Comics, 2018.
  • Infinity Countdown: Champions #2 by Jim Sub and Emilio Laiso. Published by Marvel Comics, 2018
  • Captain America #1 by Ta-Nehisi Coates, Lenil Francis You, and Gerry Alanguilan. Published by Marvel Comics, 2018
  • Marvel Rising: Squirrel Girl/Ms. Marvel #1 by Ryan North, G. Willson Wilson, Devin Grayson, Irene Strychalski, and Ramon Bachs. Published by Marvel Comics, 2018.

From Comixology:

This week I actually had to hold myself to 6 comics though there were plenty more I could have chosen. There were a lot of issue that looked good but I figured I should stick to ones I already know or have started at least. Perhaps I can get to the other good issues if they keep up their high ratings.

  • Bitter Root #3 by David Walker, Chuck Brown, ands Sanford Greene.  Published bu Image Comics, 2019. This story seems to be getting even better as it goes along.
  • Criminal #1 by Ed Brubaker, Sean Phillips, and Jacob Phillips.  Published by Image Comics, 2019.
  • Die #2 by Kieran Gilles and Stephanie Hans.  Published by Image Comics, 2019. I loved the first issue, it reminded me of the Dungeons & Dragons cartoon from the 80s.
  • Prodigy #2 by Mark Millay and Rafael Albuquerque.  Published by Images Comics, 2019.
  • Hit-Girl #2 by Mark Millar and Richards Lopez Ortiz.  Published by Image Comics, 2018.
  • The Dreaming #2 by Simon Spurrier and Bilquis Evely.  Published by Vertigo, 2018.

From Marvel Unlimited 1963:

This week I am beginning to cut back on my 1963 reading as I’m starting to focus more on issues that are considered essential or come recommended for the year. I’m also starting to get into the My Marvelous Year from Comic Book Herald so I’m gonna be doing a lot more reading of old Marvel.

  • The Amazing Spider-Man #5 by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko . Published by Marvel Comics, 1963. Will Spider-Man join forces with Doctor Doom to take on the Fantastic Four?
  • Journey Into Mystery #97 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Published by Marvel Comics, 1963. Thor takes on Lava Man and then we get a lesson in the creation of the world.
  • Tales of Suspense #46 by Stan Lee, Robert Bernstein and Don Heck. Published by Marvel Comics, 1963. Iron Man takes on the Red Dynamo.
  • Fantastic Four #20 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Published by Marvel Comics, 1963.
  • X-Men #2 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Published by Marvel Comics, 1963.
