Blaugust 2022 Day 5

Today I wanted to cover the next 5 blogs but got a bit cramped for time, as you’ll see near the end…

The plan was to cover

But the best-laid plans got messed up. Anyway, here are 4 outta 5…

Ocho over at Casual Aggro is someone I’ve read before, and actually, he was a participant of the Newbie Blogger Initiative way back in 2012 when this blog started. While I haven’t read his posts consistently, as I have been an on-and-off reader of blogs over the years, I’m glad to find him again. With a few current posts on Guild Wars 2 and No Man’s Sky, I am drawn to his commentary. I particularly liked his post about Kill Ten Rats and bloggers we’ve lost over the years. It reminded me that this time of year is when my guild in WoW – Alea Iacta Est – would hold their Remembrance Day to commemorate all those who we’ve gamed with in the past and lost. Like everything in life, games are transient, but sometimes we make permanent connections that last.

Chasing Dings! is a site I’ve visited in the past few years as well. Tipa has been part of a few Blaugusts, and you have to love the image she picked for her post on August 5th- The Fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse is awesome! I also love the idea of putting together 31 game ideas for the month. While I missed the first post on August 1, I am impressed with the games that the AI has come up with so far. This is truly innovative and cool.

Cinder over at Cinder Says is a person after my own habits – Bullet Journals and multiple “in Progress” books. Her designs are certainly more artistic than anything I’ve ever put together in my journals, so it was nice to see what she’s got going. My Bullet journals tend to be a lot more sparse and, dare I say, barely functional. Perhaps if I tried to make them look nicer, I would use them more. Anyway, I have to also say that I love all the pictures you posted for the 5th. That seems like quite a library!

And then there is Roger Edwards over at Contains Moderate Peril. It seems like I’ve been reading his stuff or listening to his podcasts forever. Ok, it’s only been years, but I have been following along for quite a while and enjoying his commentary on games, movies, and all kinds of interesting stuff. I am pretty sure he’s been involved in all the Blaugust events, but even if he hasn’t, he’s someone who knows how to do this thing. This is definitely a blog worth reading regularly.

I was gonna cover 5 blogs again today, but Mrs. Redshirt just had a crown fall out of her mouth, so I’ve gotta get running to see if we can get that fixed today. I’ll take a look at Cubic Creativity tomorrow when I have more time to take a look at the cool stuff StalkingVengeance has to talk about.
