Watching Television the Fifth Week of May 2018
Favorites from the Week ending June 2nd, 2018
This past week was kinda crazy and I ended up watching a bunch of older shows and reruns to destress. Sometimes the complex and intense new shows that I watch aren’t the best to relax to. So considering that, it makes sense I only watched a few of my usual shows this week and I tried out a new one that lotsa people have recommended.
- Westworld season 2 episode 6 – Phase Space. This episode is jam packed with goodies…we lean more about the cradle, Maeve finally gets back on track in her search for her daughter, we learn more about the relationship between The Man in Black and his daughter, Elise learns that Bernard is a host…so much info and so much fun. This was another quality episode.
- Black Mirror season 1 episode 1 – National Anthem. I can see why people like this anthology show. While it was the first episode, this was well thought out and well put together. The acting was good and the story was great. I’m definitely gonna watch more of this series.
- Killing Eve season 1, episode 8 – God I’m Tired. This was the season finale and I think it may have been one of my least favorite episodes of the season. It was still pretty good though and I’m happy to see that there’s gonna be another season. I wonder, with Eve and Vilanelle hanging out so much and not killing each other if they might team up against the 12 at some point next season.
- The Americans season 6, episode 10 – Start. Well at was a great series finale for a great series. So many good scenes in this episode…the one in the parking garage, the one where they talk to Henry, the one where Stan and Dennis look at the artist drawings…so many good parts to this episode. And in the end where the Jennings are looking out over the city in Russia. This was a really great series that was fun and educational at the same time. Some day it might be worth the time to go back and rewatch the whole thing but for now I’ll just savor how good it was.
