#SWL Too Many Main Missions
I’ve seem to have run into a situation in Secret World Legends recently where I’ve got too many Main Story Missions to work on and not enough Side Missions.
Extended Side Missions Slowing Me Down
I suppose that’s not a bad situation to be in for content, but when I’m trying to accomplish the Daily Challenge each day it sure can be a problem. I’m really having to search for new Side Missions to complete in order to get my 3 in for each day. To make matters worse (?) the Anniversary boss fight every hour counts as a Main Story Quest so I’m easily completing 3 of those a day since I try to get in at least 2 takedowns.
Anyway, here’s the rundown for what is needed for the Daily Challenge:
- 3 Main Missions
- 3 Side Missions
- 50 Monster Kills
- 4 Item Enhancements
It’s not a really difficult set of tasks to accomplish each day but sometimes the missions, both Main and Side, can take a while to complete. Yesterday for instance, the Main Missions had 4 and 5 tiers and the Side Missions had 2, 2, and 4. So essentially I had 17 steps I had to go through to get my Daily Challenge completed. Oh, and I did the Anniversary Event to get my last Main Mission. Anyway you look at it, that’s a whole bunch of things to do.
And with Secret World Legends the tiers are not always straightforward and easy to do. Quite often it’s not a simple go here and shoot things like in other MMOs. Instead sometimes you’ve gotta look something up on the Internet, others you need to play a song or find a quotation in a book, and still others require you to reference lore or other items in the game world just to figure out where you need to go. While these types of things are what make me enjoy SWL so much, it can make it frustrating when I’m trying to get missions done quickly.
Anyway, today I ran into a slow spot where every side mission I looked at to complete had 3–4 tiers and I just didn’t have the time to finish 3 of them. Maybe I’ll get a chance to finish them off tonight but for now, I missed the daily challenge and didn’t get the extra goodies that entails.
